Low temperatures can affect the operating conditions of lithium battery systems, particularly during charging. For energy storage installations exposed to colder environments, built-in temperature management can help the battery operate within its specified conditions.

Both Pytes V16 and V16 Lite feature an integrated heating pad, providing a built-in solution for low-temperature management. The heating pad is specified with an operation temperature-rise range of -18°C to 15°C (0°F to 59°F), providing temperature-rise capability when the battery is exposed to low temperatures.


Built-In Heating for Low-Temperature Conditions

The integrated heating system is built directly into both battery models, providing a built-in approach to low-temperature management.

When battery temperatures fall into the specified low-temperature conditions, the integrated heating pad provides temperature-rise capability to support battery temperature management. This feature is particularly relevant for energy storage systems that may experience seasonal temperature changes or operate in colder environments.

For both the V16 and V16 Lite, the specified charging temperature is 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F), while the discharge range extends from -20°C to 55°C (-4°F to 131°F). These operating ranges provide important reference points when planning energy storage systems for different climate conditions.

More Flexibility for Cold-Climate Installations

An integrated heating function can be particularly useful for batteries installed in environments where temperatures may drop below freezing, such as in installations that may be exposed to low ambient temperatures, unheated garages, or other cold-weather locations, depending on the specific model and its environmental rating.

By incorporating the heating function into the battery design, the V16 and V16 Lite provide a practical approach to temperature management when planning energy storage systems for colder environments. Instead of treating heating as an entirely separate consideration, users can take the battery's integrated temperature-management capability into account during system selection and installation.

V16 and V16 Lite with Integrated Heating

Both models combine LFP battery chemistry with an integrated heating pad for temperature management. The V16 features an IP66-rated enclosure, while the V16 Lite uses an IP20 enclosure, giving the two models different enclosure protection levels for different installation requirements.

Their integrated heating capability adds another consideration for users who need to plan battery operation around colder temperatures.
